Yes. Animation fan that I am, I have never seen Fritz the Cat or the sequel 9 Lives of FTC.

Bakshi says now that "The Simpsons" regularly gets away with on TV what he got slapped with an X-Rating for back in the day....

I saw a Fritz the Cat movie as an undergrad at a midnight movies screening (I think it was "9 Lives of Fritz the Cat"). Now it could have been the, ummm, pharmaceuticals, but I remember feeling queasy, it was so repellent. Not something I'd want to see again. And I like R. Crumb.

Sorta like my reaction to "Rocky Horror Picture Show." After the first hour, once all the audience participation had played itself out, I actually fell asleep.

And no pharmaceuticals. I was bored.

I enjoyed the Fritz the Cat movie I saw long ago. I don't know which one it was, though. Started with him and his friends getting high and having an orgy. But maybe they all started that way.

Never heard of it before, is there anyway to still get copies or something. Now I'm curious.

The Simpsons will always be able to get away with anything.
