Anybody Outraged?

Over the fact that the Administration requested that language be inserted in the AIG bailout to ensure that the bonuses could happen, Chris Dodd lied about it, and then they all spent the whole week expressing moral outrage and proclaiming their intentions to get that money back for the American people?

I know that people who aren't fans of Obama are pissed off, but what about those of you that like him? Does it bother you?

I wonder if they (the administration) are as outraged at these bonus payouts. Seems to me they should be

Fannie Mae plans to pay retention bonuses of at least $1 million to four key executives as part of a plan to keep hundreds of employees from leaving the government-controlled company.

Rival mortgage finance company Freddie Mac is planning similar awards, but has not yet reported on which executives will benefit.

The two companies, which together own or back more than half of the home mortgages in the country, have been hobbled by skyrocketing loan defaults. Fannie recently requested $15 billion in federal aid, while Freddie has sought a total of almost $45 billion.

Order is restored, I disagree with you 100%. Assuming these are not the people responsible for causing the problem and that they are the best chance at fixing the problem, they need to be paid.
Actually I agree with you now.......LOL.

Of course the same COULD be said of the AIG bonus money......I have read conflicting reports on that so I don't really know the truth of that.
Yes, much better to be chopping wood in Crawford while your minions out undercover CIA agents.
LOL.......or having unappropriate relations with that women in the oval office.
I have actually been working today and couldn't get to the computer. I also don't consider myself on of those who said that anybody who doens't like him just can't get over it - I am also not an Obama worshiper by any means - I worship no man. Sometimes it's just too upsetting to try to interject another way of looking at things into these threads. What I do want to ask, is what kind of language was actually inserted into the bill that allowed the bonuses? Did they actually say - "let them get bonuses", or was it more "omission" by not "disallowing it". All I've heard is that they already had the contract, and we can't go just saying that contracts are null and void (I didn't say that - I heard it) So did the bill specifically allow it, or just not say anything about it? and by the say - my head is about to pop-off too, with all this crap.
From what I understand......and it's still murky.......there was a provision to prevent the bonus money in the original bill.....yet it later disappeared. Dodd says the administration made him take it out.

They don't remember it the same way.

So I guess no one will admit to it.

Politics as usual.
I'm still worried that some people want to trust our health care to these people. Let 'em F that up like they have these bail outs.
They'll do fine on that. I am confident.
