What was it like? Whats expected of dog/handler?

I read about what the tests are here: http://www.atts.org/testdesc.html but I don't really understand what's expected.

Can you talk to the dog? Reassure/guide them at all? What sort of a "protective response" would be required from a labrador?

I think we'll try it out just to see, sounds like it might be fun.

Just looked at the website and it said:

The handler is not allowed to talk to the dog, give commands, or give corrections.

Sounds interesting, but kind of weird at the same time.

Aggression here is checked against the breed standard and the dog's training.

Hmm... interesting. So it sort of seems like it wants to test stuff training aside... I guess?

I still think it'll be neat. I kinda want to see how Baloo reacts to the "intimidating stranger". My guess? Try to drown him in kisses. And/or play with him until he changes his mind about meaning harm. Does that count as "protection"?

Hopefully Belle's Mom (Karen) will see this cuz I think she's done this with a few of hers. If you know any pitbull people, theyd be good to ask too, a lot of them do this.

Friend of mine did this with her Belgian and her mini aussie.. if I'm remembering correctly, her mini aussie retreated behind her but kept barking, and that was considered "acceptable" for an aussie to do. If her belgian had done that, he would have failed.
