I only ever use DayQuil/ NyQuil, plus vitamins. The NyQuil will put you under so you get the sleep you need, the dayquil lets you do daily stuff without feeling so shitty.

Announcing the arrival of.........
my winter cold. It arrived early this morning wrapped in a cozy bundle of down comforter. It made it's way into my world as I rubbed an itch on my nose in my sleep and that apparently was the cold's invitation to *run* right in. Sneezing followed. A little dozing. More sneezing. Itchy feeling in the nose. 2 more sneezes. Trying to sleep more. Congestion building. Head beginning to ache a bit.
Any suggestions for making it's stay less desirable? I've already added nasal spay and cold remedies to my shopping list. Anyone ever try "Emergen-C" that I've been hearing about?
Please do not feel the need to welcome my new cold to the forum. We don't want to encourage it to stay. It has not found it's forever home. I am merely fostering it for a week at the most.

Did you send it to my house? Ive been using tylenol cold & sinus and niquil. I hope you feel better.
Hope your house guest doesn't stay long! I was lucky mine left only after being here for about 4 days, DH's has been tormenting the household for about 2 weeks now. The only difference between his guest and mine is that mine got hit with about 1000mg extra of vit C everyday! Not sure it helped, but it left and that is all that matters! Hope your guest doesn't become to pesky!!
A humidifier/vaporizer. I bought the V745A Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier the third week of my cold and boy was it nice at night.

I prefer the cold air humidifiers, keeps me from drying out!! Actually, we use it all winter long. Although some vicks sounds good!!
It lasted a week, went away for a couple of days and came back. Then it faded again for a day or two before coming back again. It was right when I was buying Toby so I was outside in the cold a lot.
