I love Tim Burton but have to confess: For some reason, this movie holds 0 interest for me.

I'm not thrilled with the 3D - Avatar made me kind of queasy, but I'm looking forward to it. Love Depp. Love Burton. Looks like pure visual candy.

We did finally find tickets in some town I've never even heard of near the CT casinos...guess we'll have to go to the casino for dinner. :)

Biggyhead Helena Bonham Carter scares me.

And Anne Hathaway wafts around the previews like she's in a drug-induced coma.

Yup.

I'll be eager to hear what you think....
*small hijack*

Dan, did you see tooth fairy? Did you like it? I was pleasantly surprised. But then again, the kids and I are hockey fans (we go to local games) so that made it even better. The boys went to see "The Rock" and I went to see Julie. The best part was the credits when Julie was a hockey fan. LOL.

Tooth Fairy
Sad to say, No. Kristin saw it w/some friends when it first opened. I'll catch it on DVD.

Eileen and I haven't been to see ANYTHING since we saw "Up in the Air" @ Christmastime. We are WAY overdue for a date nght. Which probably wouldn't have included Tooth Fairy, either, but there you go.

I did go see Avatar w/a sci-fi geeky friend. Eileen wasn't interested. And my moviebuff bud and I this past weekend saw The Treasure of the Sierra Madre on the big screen at a neighborhood movie that shows classics on Sundays. Again, Eileenw wasn't interested.

She was in the backyard, hunting badgers.

Badgers?!!?!?

We ain't got no Badgers!! We don' got to show you no steenkin Badgers!!

I'd never pass up the opportunity to see Julie in ANYTHING on the big screen. Wait till Dvd? Crazy! But then again, Julie isnt even in your #1 movie of all time. So we know how much of a fan you are! Hrmph!

Well, I sat throught "The Man Who Loved Women" on the big screen!
But offsetting that, I skipped "Shrek 3" completely.

I'm in for "Despicable Me" though. That looks good!

From imdb.com:

Plot Summary for
Despicable Me (2010) More at IMDbPro »
advertisementIn a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences with flowering rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbors, hidden beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Surrounded by a small army of minions, we discover Gru (voiced by Steve Carell), planning the biggest heist in the history of the world. He is going to steal the moon. (Yes, the moon!) Gru delights in all things wicked. Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays, and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way. Until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad. The world's greatest villain has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes.

She plays the White Queen, I think. I've only seen her in one commercial in the background for a half second it seemed like.
