My mums dog Bo, is 10yrs old this year we think, as he was a rescue dog and she got him when we think he was 4. Anyway for the past 2 weeks he has been peeing in the house. She takes him before bed and sometimes at 6am to find he has peed. I told her its probably his age and he isnt holding it as well and to confine him to a washable floor. Vet ruled out UTI. He is neutered and apparently the elderly cat also peed on the carpet and Bo marked over it

Any ideas on how to get him to stop?

It's important to not only clean the pee spots but also neutralize the odor with over-the-counter Hydrogen Peroxide -- otherwise, the residual odor will broadcast to cat and dog alike, it's okay to pee around here.
