Is there such a thing as acid reflux in dogs and how do you know they have it? Dale will occassionally barf up bile out of the blue. Or will barf up his dinner from the night before (and why is that dogs dont chew most of their food?) in the morning. Its not all the time, just occassionally. His poop is fine, nothing out of the ordinary.

Yes. Rider occaisionally gets 'heartburn' and will have to take a tagament. But you need to have your dog evaluated by the vet before you just give meds.

No the whining is not from pain. Its just him "talking". If he knows someone is coming over, he'll sit in the middle of the room and whine and whine until that person gets here.

He's got a vet appt saturday so we'll see what they say, just wanted to throw it out there to see if anyone elses dog did the barf thing.

Update: Vet thinks its from the dry food, combining with the water and expanding in his stomach. She suggested splitting his meal into 2 times a day to see if that helps. We'll try that and see if that helps. Again, its not all the time, just once in a while.
