Dozer has been here a week now and things are going great. The biggest problem I have with him is his puppy biting, which I know he'll outgrow. We don't allow him to do it, he gets corrected when he does it, but it's a puppy thing, so I'm not concerned. He'll catch on.
Things I have learned about Dozer in the last week are:
While he loves all three of my kids, he really is quite smitten with our youngest. They are practically inseperable.
Dozer says "Hey kid, can I have a sip too?"
Catch me if you can!
Time to relax.
Oooh, a car ride!
Things I have learned about Dozer in the last week are:
- He is a lap dog.
- He likes to take a mouthful of food, walk away from his bowl and then chew and swallow it.
- He is extremely intelligent.
- Retrieving comes naturally to him, which isn't a shock because his parents are field dogs, but he oh how he loves to bring me stuff.
- He is velcro.
- He has a terrible attraction to rocks ... we have now de-rocked the backyard.
- He leaves tiny purple bruises when he pinches me with his front teeth.
- The smell of salt and vinegar chips drives him insane.
- He naps a lot.
- He likes ice cubes.
- He is sweet and such a love.
- Already he is loyal.
- He watches television.
- He has a mighty bark.
