Ahhhh NO!!!! No back rubs in the ER, EVER!!!!:D:D
I went in one really nice fall Sat and spent 4 hours in a ob/gyn room. See they were really busy cause folks were checking lawn mower blades while it was still running, old pfarts try to slide into home, falling off ladders tryin' to clean the gutters and stuff like that.

Rita tried to get me to put my feet in them sturrip things, but I didn't want to, course the shot they gave me kept me from wantin' to do much of anything. Sounds fair, give me good drugs and I won't worry about the back rub.

What? and no fries either? What sh*tty service! What do you guys do all day? :D
Poke holes in folks, shove tubes down folk's noses, oh and sometimes they got to go find a quiet place to just plain laugh at some of the stupid things some people do to get them there in the first place, right Di?:D

I gotta say, in most cases I am sure that was inappropriate. However, an elderly person, a child, someone alone, might be just looking for some comfort - and no matter how hard, that comfort should be available!

And when they're not doing that, they're sitting on their butts in the staffroom watching the hospital soaps on tv or doing the crossword puzzels. Yeah, life's tough alright. :D

Hey, now you've went to far, you can pick on some ER doctors, but not the ER nurses, I'm a frequent flyer at those places and I've never met an ER nurse that wasn't above and beyond. Some of the Drs though,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,well that's a different story.

Yes, I can thank him for helping me to decide not to go the medical route.
Takes a special person to do it, and most are very caring, my hat is off to all of you who do it and are there when we need it.

Amen to that. I don't think I could do it. As a ward clerk & reg clerk, I see those nurses in action and let me tell you, many of them go above and beyond. Not all are good, or "special" though, and I wonder why they chose their profession, but generally, they are amazing. It's the nurses that hold together the ER.
