In June of 2009, Kate
was rescued from a shelter in Kansas on the day of her euthanasia. The
woman who rescued her could not keep her so she was brought up to a
doggie daycare in Minnesota where I work. She had been there for two
months before I brought her home for a few days. A few days turned into
four months, and Kate is still with us.

She is black lab/pointer? mix and about 8 months now. She has been an
absolute joy to have around. Because of her age, she does have a lot of
energy. I bring her to doggie daycare with me four days a week and that
really burns a lot of her energy. I feel she would really do well in an
active home or a home with another dog. We have yet to meet a dog or a
human that Kate does not think is her new best friend.

Since I brought her home we have been working a lot on obedience training.
She knows the basic commands: sit, shake, come etc.. We do not have a fence
and when we let her outside she stays in our yard. She is completely potty
trained and has never had an accident in the house.

Although she loves playing, she is really a loving dog. She would like
nothing more than to curl up in your lap and fall asleep. Kate sleeps right
next to me at night and just wants to be close to you.

Please let me know if anyone would be interested in our beautiful foster dog.
