I am having a difficult time with recall with Gracie. She is 8 months old and never has really responded to her name when I call her...although she can hear, she will listen to her trainer. My 10 weeks of training are done for now, but I want to work on this because I feel it is very important for her to learn to come when I call. Any tips would be greatly appreciated She is very smart, but goes into FU mode with me sometimes

tough one I am not sure about that... Lucy is almost 11 weeks old and does great with responding to her name when I call her. Sorry I can't help, just keep working with her. It will pay off!

I suggest you google "Nothing in Life is Free" training.

I found that effective with my Puff.

Puff [YF, AKC field line (from competing HT/FT breeder) 62 lbs, dob: 8-'01]

Bess [BF, AKC bench line (from competing show breeder) 55 lbs., 1967-1981] "Poor Bess, the Wonder Dog":

I agree, when Sammi was about the same age she seemed to forget all of her training- she went back to " Mom's boot camp" and lived by "nothing in life is free" - trust me, you work it and it will work!!! Good luck- Di
