DefaultToby is being a good boy!

So after 1 night of constant howling I let him whine and howl the whole night without seeing him at all until 8a.m. Well, he handled himself well the first night and only started whimpering at 3a.m. for about 20minutes then went back to sleep. Next night he's silent the entire night and last night same thing. So on the eve of his 8th week birthday, he's become much better and I can sleep now

Great news!! You did the right thing, if you went down to him when he was whinning, he would continue doing it, because he knows that you come down to him when he does whine. It is like an attention scheme, very crafty things aren't they? lol

Wonderful. It is hard, but does pay off.

I got Ernie at 3.5 and for 2 weeks he whined and moaned. One night was so tired and angry I pulled the crate outside and left him there. It was Summer. He never did it again.
