Hi there! I have a 7 and a half month old yellow female lab. I think she is pretty large for her age, she is nearly as the same size as some adult Labs we've met (specially bitches), but her body and face are still puppy-like. Will she still grow for a long time or her body will only become more like the one of an adult?
- Thanks a lot.
Many dogs go through the "ganglies" stage when they look all out of proportion. I wouldn't worry about it -- they fill out in time.
Puppies do a big chunk of their growing in the first 6 months so you may find she slows down now.
There is such a huge variation in adult size/weight within the breed so the best thing you can do is look at your dogs parents. They will give you a rough idea of her final adult size.
I agree with Trickster. Your dog will get to about its adult height at around 12 months, and adult weight at around a year and a half.
