    DefaultClicker Training Clickers

    Are the clickers all teh same or should I be looking for a specific "kind"

    They (should) all be the same - it is a piece of metal encased in a little plastic box. They are at the check-out at our local Petco and cost $1 or $2.

    Karen Pryor has a new clicker out with a much more pleasant sound. I find the old box clickers very loud, to the point that they will make my ears ring - which makes me wonder how a sensitive dog hears them.

    This is what I have. I really like it. Easy to handle and much less annoying than the old ones.

    There are HUGE differences between clickers.

    Some are louder, softer, hair triggered or slower to click.

    Try some, you'll see.

    You can usually send them back if you don't like them.

    Well - not as silly a question as I thought!
