I used to have to take Sadie out within a few minutes after eating. For the last few weeks though she has been sitting by the sliding door when she needs to go outside!! I still watch her, but for the most part I am letting her tell me when she needs out. It has been about 3 weeks since her last accident in the house....knock on wood it continues!!!

Cookie also sits by the door when he needs to go out (when he wants to be a good boy) but he still has accidents now and there. I take him out after he eats for he usually has to go after that.

How old is Rowan? I'm pretty sure as they get older... the act of eating doesn't necessarily trigger the bladder. I think Ender stopped having to go out immediately after eating at around 3.5 months old.

    Okay, good to know Lindsay!
Rowan is 11 wks old ~ and I took her out immediately after and 'nothing' so I crated her and will take her out again the same time I did yesterday ( an hour later) and she went.
She isn't going to the door yet to give me warning. Looking forward to that day

Bailey (12 weeks old) goes out right before her meals. I take her out again 45 minutes after a meal.
