    DefaultExcess scratching

Allie seems to scratching at her neck more than usual. I've checked for flees, shes been to the vet. Everything seems normal... Could it be Dry skin, and if so, what can I use for it? Our vet mentioned an oil. We tried olive oil, but wont this make her gain weight? We finally have her at her correct weight, I dont want to mess that up... I asked about an egg, she said she would rather see oil...

    Suggestions?

Good question... I have noticed Zakk doing the same thing. I'll have to increase his oil intake. I guess that ProPlan doesn't give him enough?

Depending on where you live, it is not uncommon to see dogs a bit itchier in the fall and winter months as the air becomes drier. I would use a fish oil instead of a plant based oil myself, and find that acidohilus also works wonders for itchy skin.
