    We got ours from UPCO. It's a supply company for pets. You can also get them at craft stores. Ours is shaped like a small cow bell. I am actually thinking of switching to an office / front desk type of bell to put on the floor. His tail hits the bell all the time.

    I got mine off of e Bay- I saw some beautiful sleigh bells last Christmas season at Pottery Barn and did a search on Pottery Barn bells, I think. They're really heavy-duty (thick brass bells with a thick leather strap), sound beautiful, and hook right onto our door knob.

    I used a bird toy, has a bell on the bottom.
