    DefaultCleveland Rite Aid Marathon

Yesterday was the Cleveland Rite Aid Marathon and I helped a friend train for the 1/2 marathon. Her first. So Miles and I went downtown to see her finish and cheer her in.

Miles was such a good boy and quite a celebrity. He did very well on his leash and sucked up all the attention he could from adults and children.

I was struck by the number of people drawn to him to shared their recent loss of their lab. Dog people are special people, or just people changed for the better by their dogs.

All my running friends loved meeting Miles and, of course, loved his name.

Dog people do seem to be drawn to one another by their common love of animals.

It sounds like you had a fun day. Did you give Miles his name because you are a runner?

I am noticing that. and, yes, given our love for running, Miles seemed like an appropriate name for our dog. ;D
