My little half-lab puppy is almost 3 months old and she has some separation anxiety. She's (finally) fine in her crate, but if you leave the house she goes nuts howling and crying. What can I do to keep her quiet? I'm only ever gone a couple hours at a time because I'm taking some college courses. She can stay in her crate for an hour or two just fine if she knows I'm in the house. Also she doesn't really stay busy by herself very well. I've tried freezing peanut butter in kongs andshe loses all interest as soon as you walk out the door. Just recently she's been playing in her crate with her nylabone, but this is new. I also don't think a kong would keep her busy long enough if she even decided to stop howling for a minute. I have neighbors upstairs and I'm gonna try to talk to them, but what can I do about the barking? Should I try Adaptil (dog appeasing pheromone) collars/plug-ins? Has anyone tried the GNC dog appeasing chews that have tryptophan in them? Those seem to have good reviews but I want to make sure it's safe for a puppy. Any advice is welcome, thank you guys in advance !
Also someone told me about dog lullabies, like classic lullabies with a heartbeat, anyone have experience with those?
