I posted this before the big crash and didn't get back in time to check out the wonderful ideas you guys have.

What do you put under your puppy's water dish to stop water from going all over the place? I'm getting tired of stepping in water all the time.

We put the water dish on a mat over carpet between our kitchen and den. I'm still mopping up water because they carry so much on their lower lip and drop it all over the kitchen floor. I just always keep towels handy just for cleanup - since I have wood floors I have to keep it up.

We have a 3x5 rug in the laundry room, over linoleum, on which Toby's food and water bowls are kept. The bowl is pretty large, and the rug catches any drips that fall. The rug is rubber-backed and can be washed.

I keep a towel on the floor next to Nellie's water bowl. I've got ceramic tile which turns into a skating rink when wet so i try to mop up immediately.

We use a 'boot mat.' It's a rubber pad with a 1/4-inch lip all around, so the water that slops there, stays there and can be easily wiped up.
