My dog's primary exercise is playing in the backyard with me. I kick the soccer ball, throw tennis balls, bumpers or any anything else I can find to get them moving

Those pics are GREAT! She looks a lot like Jaida after I run her everyday. I have tried to get her to catch the frisbee, but she will have nothing to do with it. She just insists on tennis balls. Sometimes, I think she could actually just fetch the ball until she topples over and dies!

Thank You ! It did take awhile for her to catch on, I think at first she was afraid of the hard plastic but the plastic frisbee's stay in the air longer for them to catch up to it. It's crazy, she stands out side over her frisbee until I come out to play with her.Today it was very wind out and the frisbee went on top of the roof of our back patio. she sat there and stared up at the roof until I got a ladder to get it down !!!

I would start by looking at your dog's body shape and size and determine if your dog is over weight or not. Try to maintain the same amount of food everyday. Take your dog for walks or play fetch everyday. My dog just turned 1, and I play with her about a 1/2 hour to 45 min a day during the week. After awhile you will find a happy medium with your dog. I feed my dog 2 1/4 cups in the morning and 2 cups a night. That just works best for her.If your dog is gaining weight I would either cut back on the food or exercise them more. You will eventually find what works best. Good luck !!and have fun !!!

I take mine out for 2-3 hours a day and they are free to run, sniff, retrieve, play, etc. I tend to take them to the woods, fields or the National Park thats a 15 minute walk away. They probabaly run triple the distance I walk.
