DefaultWhat time is your last potty break?

How long can your labs hold it overnight before morning pee? Maisy (6 mos) usually falls asleep for the night around 8 PM. She flops down on the living room floor or in her crate, and doesn't move until we wake her to take her out for a final 9:30 or 10 pm potty break before putting her in crate for the night. But I wonder if she could hold it from ~8 PM? She wakes us at 5 AM, so we're up early, which we don't mind. But I would love not to have to take her out at 10 PM anymore. We live in apartment building, so potty is a pain - leash, elevator, sidewalk, etc. I'm afraid if I experiment and skip the 10 PM potty that she'll wake up at 3 AM and need to go, which doesn't work for me! :-) What do you think? How long do your dogs hold it overnight? What's expected for 6 mos old? Thanks!
    Meet Maisy!

HK is almost three and I take her out around 9:30-10:00. I wake naturally around 5-5:30, so the morning is not an issue for me.

If it were me, I would wait for a year before skipping that late relief walk. Not sue I would skip it then, but it would be worth a try.

We do "last call" anywhere between 9:30 and 11, depending on when we're going to bed. At 6 months old, tho, I think we were still making sure to take Caleb out around 10-10:30. He'd be fine until I got up between 6:30 and 7.

Sammi's has been going out at 8pm for last pee since she was about 1. She and we rarely sleep past 730am and she has no trouble with that.

Last pee break here is pretty late - usually 11 - midnight. Then Diesel often needs to go out again at 5 am (and it used to be earlier than that so we don't complain about 5 am). Life with a diabetic dog with a walnut sized bladder.

That's one of the good things about having a fenced back yard & a dog door. They can go out whenever they want.

Last poop & pee break for Puff is scheduled for 10 PM -- but it sometimes gets delayed until 11.
