CJ is seven months and 70 pounds of hyper yellow lab! Took him to Petsmart today for a private lesson as part of his six week training class. Got him in a gentle leader and walked him around the store for a half an hour with not a single pull ! I am truly amazed!

It feels so good when they walk nicely. The halti is a great training tool and wonderful if they tolerate it.

Kass didn't mind it too much, but Erns doesn't like it. He will either rub his face in the grass or we do the halti waltz. He tries to rub his face on my leg. I side step doing a little skip, he misses, side steps to try and get my other leg, which I throw out to the side. Walks a few steps and tries again. We continue down the street like this until I feel so stupid I give up.

just a heads up - with any new tool I find dogs tend to do super well the first few times you put it on. they quickly learn to pull. so keep working hard on training the heel as chances are the pup will start pulling again on the halti.

@kassabella...lmao! The trainer warned us of the face rubbing too but your visual was much better than hers!

@tanya...thanks for the warning. Plan to work a lot with him on this!
