we have only had hime a few days and the breeder told us he should be fine but his back legs worry me.. His whole back half is really skinny and he walks with his hips slightly turned out makes it look like he is almost waddling and he has problems using them like going up and down stairs and standing up... If anyone has any advice please help.... Thank you!!!
have you had him at hte vet's? a vet would be in the best position to evaluate the pup and either give you peace of mind or suggest something needs to be looked in to.
how old is he?
Is this new or was he like this when you picked him up?

A lot of puppies are quite round in the middle which in contrast may make the hips look narrow. Lab puppies (and older ones too) do tend to waddle/swagger. Did the breeder take them to the vet before releasing them to you? Mine vet checks all of her puppies prior to sale.
I agree with Tanya - you need to see a vet to get this checked (and a vet visit should happen anyway within a few days of getting any new dog or puppy).

He is 9 weeks old.. and yes he was like this when i got him from the breeder.. no they were no vet checked prior to purchase he gave them shots himself and he has an appointment for friday that was the soonest we could do..I didnt know if maybe it was a lab thing i havent had a lab puppy since i was younger
heres a picture of him sitting his back legs are really long...
Does he seem to be able to run ok? Let us know what the vet says.

Even if a breeder chooses to give their own shots, every reputable breeder takes the ENTIRE litter to the vet for a wellness exam before the pups go home. If your pup did not get this wellness exam prior to going to your home, you unfortunately did not screen your breeders carefully before making a decision.
If you think the pup still looks odd in the rear, and seems to continue to have problems with it's legs, I would consider doing a test for CNM (Centronuclear Myopathy Disease Test | Labrador Retrievers DNA Testing | Canine Health). I highly doubt your breeder checked for this.
I don't know if it is just the picture you posted of him sitting but he does not look like a full bred lab to me. His ears look like they are set too high or something. JMO.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't letting go - but learning to start over.
He runs like a normally pup.. I think he was just really underfed because since we have had him he has put on a little weight to where his legs don't look so bad and you can no longer see his ribs..
Got into the vet this morning and he said he looks great and seems to be Lab to him..
