Ah you are lucky! Mine eats, her own poo, other dogs poo AND other cat's poo! I'm desperate and there is nothing I can do!!

If dogs do not go to heaven, then I prefer to follow them where they go.

What are you feeding your pup? I was told sometimes dogs will eat another dogs poo because of the nutritional value. I.E. Feed you older dog a better food and your puppy a not so good food your pup will eat the other dogs poo to get some of the nutrition he is missing out of his/her poo.

There are plenty of other reasons dogs do it...some just do it because they can.

Ick! I'd try and teach the pup the "leave it" command to see if you can curb the poo eating.

It's usually due to the pup seeking something they aren't getting - nutrition wise, or it could just be behavioural.

Clean your yard after each poop, teach "leave it" and don't leave a poop eater unsupervised.

Stuff from the Vet never worked on my friends dog it made no difference what so ever. In the end she just grew out of it. Ozzy has done it once in the last few days so now as Diesel Dawg suggests we clean up our yard as soon as Axel poops. He has only started this when i cut him down to two feeds a day so i think it because he extra hungry at the moment.

Kolby is a poop eater. He will eat anybody's poop. We clean the yard after the dogs are out and supervise him when he's outside. He had been on multiple high quality foods for the ~3 years I have had him and he still does it.
