    DefaultNew Rug Question

We have added a new rug to our living room to cover an area of our hardwood floor. The problem is Stoli(3 mo old) will not stop biting it. She just runs from side to side biting any portion of it she can. I have tried to say NO and give her a toy but she just drops it and trys again. If I block the spot she is biting she will go to the other side.

Any suggestions on how to end this behavior before my new rug is ruined???

    Thanks,
    Tim

You need to teach leave it - and teach it completely unrelated to the rug. Once he learns "leave it" he will extrapolate to any item he is bothering.

Other suggestion - leash him to you when he is in that room. Use the leash to remove him from unwanted behavior.

    DefaultI second that

Leave it is an invaluable command.
Pretty easy to teach, too !
