DefaultHow long is too long not pottying at night?

Spike usually goes to sleep at 8 ish. I have been waking up around 2 and letting him out at which time he pees once and poops twice. I put him back in his crate and then we wake up at 6 ish at which time he will pee and poop one or two times. When I come to get him at 2 he seems like he could care less whether I did or not. How long is too long to leave them without a potty break at night?

Bailey goes to bed at 10 and wakes up at 5 to go out, sometimes 6. Mostly 5 though. I can't believe spike and Bailey are brother and sister!

What time do YOU go to bed? I'd potty him at 10 and her should be able to sleep until 6.

How old is Spike? Each puppy I've had varied. I never once woke them up though.

I simply put the crate next to my bed and let then wake and tell me when they have to potty. Out they go, and right back in the crate. I've had puppies who didn't need a mid night potty and some who needed two. Usually within a week or two, they don't need any.

Baileys water gets taken away at 8. Her last potty is at 930 and bed at 10. The first night we had she cried during night so we took her out and she peed. Then every night after that she sleeps through night until 5 or 6. Never before 5 though. She immediately pees and poops first thing in morning.

Isn't that funny! We were going to get a girl but then Stephanie said the boys have bigger heads We got the littlest guy - who is growing fast - the little turkey is 12 pounds now He looks more like Jazz than Bo. Love him to pieces!

Depends - some nights I can crash at 8 , others I'm awake till 11. Maybe I'll try to stay awake and take him out at 10 or 11 - I'm always afraid he'll wake up and want to play - but I keep everything dark...

Such a small world! Glad he is growing fast Bailey was 11 when we brought her home now she's prob 18, crazy! I was going to ask you when you took spike to vet did he test positive for giardia? The vet said its common in puppies when poop is around water bowl, water gets contaminated. Since they were same litter did spike get it too?
