Yesterday I finally could walk my pup for the first time, and she did great at learning to not pull and all, with a normal leash, no choker. Still, I walked her for about 15 minutes and she seemed quite tired, so we got back home. I used the "5 minutes" rule, 5 minutes per month and all (she is 3 months old). But I still don't know how many times should I walk her a day, or for how long. How do you walk yours, folks?

I had never heard this five minute rule. My pup is now just over 3 months DOB 17Aug. She takes two walks per day 30 - 45 minutes. Now we don't go that far, a mile takes us 45 minutes as there are so many things to smell, leaves to pounce on, people to greet, but she walks eagerly and happily the whole time. I find it helps keep her calmer. Ball chasing happens at the beginning and middle and the end of the day. Very laughable as she can now retrieve a full size soccer ball.
My pup (also just over 3 months - Aug 15) is doing 2 walks a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening both about 15-20 minutes long. Just around the block really. Now she didn't get a walk this morning because I was running later so I might just do two blocks, but obviously if she's tiring out I'll cut it short.
