    Defaultpuppy food

hi everyone. just recently got our first lab puppy . Breeder gave us some SIMPLY food to start us. I have tried many sites etc and researched foods but still really stuck. Can anyone suggest the best puppy food i can buy for my little one. I am happy to pay for a really decent food that offers my pup the best i can give it. many thanks

There is no best. If you put thought into finding the "best" breeder, why aren't you accepting their recommendation of food?

its not that i dont have faith in the breeder. the breeder was great and was very good. i have just not heard much at all about the brand SIMPLY and was just seeing if anyone else knew any more about it or had any other suggestions as im sure most people on here have lots of experience when it comes to food and labs.

There are so many puppy foods. but I give first priority to home made puppy food and
which make by my own hand.
its true that, I have so many recipes for my puppy food which is good for his health.........

Personally, i have put my faith in Puppy Mini - Chicken & Rice | Burns Pet Food products but my friend's pup was brought up on http://www.nutrecare.co.uk/graphics/...ppyChicken.jpg and is doing well on it.

Having said that, I don't see anything wrong with symply puppy large breed dog food-turkey&rice 2kg, symply puppy, symply large breed - Puppy | We Are Dogs

Don't forget to change the food gradually over a period of about a week if you decide to change.

A pup goes through alot of stress moving into a new home, I would not change it's food for at least 1 20# bag of food.

If the breeder does everything right to plan a litter, do cleareances on the adults, prove their breeding stock, carefully screen puppy buyers, they have probably decided what food works best for their dogs....so trust their choice. If it's hard for you to get, that's another story, but if you can find it easily, stick with it.

The worst time to change a pup's food is when it's growing.

And unless you are an expert, I would NOT make home made food for a puppy.
