    DefaultEllis Memorial Tree

Just as we did for Yukon, and exactly one year to the day later, we had a bbq to celebrate Ellis' life, and planted a tree in his honor & memory.

Ellis' tree is a "columnar oak" - the same as for Yukon because they are strong and tough and will last forever. It's planted near Yukon's so the boys can be remembered together forever - and they are outside our kitchen/back deck - so we see them all the time.

I created a similar plaque for Ellis - and it lays at the base of his tree. The rock at the base of his tree is one of the last ones that he ever dove for out of the river when he was over 15 1/2 years old.

    <br />Ellis (brown) &amp; Yukon (yellow) - Sadly, we helped Ellis &quot;move along&quot; on Feb 22, 2007 at age 15 1/2 - and Yukon died suddenly on Feb 1st, 2006 - 4 days before his 11th birthday.&nbsp; We are devestated.

Incredibly beautiful. When I need to lay my Biscuit to rest, I would like to do the same thing.

That is beautiful! We made a spot in our rock garden under the "favorite tree to lay under" for Gilla and Kody to be buried in - Gilla loved rocks and Kody loved the shade!
