The final post:/update:
Hello JL Forum
I was a member here 11 years ago when we first got our yellow lab - Abby. We were young and inexperienced with dogs. Abby had severe separation anxiety and we posted and learned many things while we were here. She recovered fully and her SA only manifested by taking garments of worn clothing to sleep on while we were gone. Since then we are blessed with 3 kids. Abby has been a saint and gentle soul with all of them allowing them to climb on top of her, attempt to ride her like a horse or proceed to do a full dental inspection by sticking their hands in her mouth...all for the simple price of part or ALL of what they were eating.
Tonight is her last night home with us. After a full day at the animal ER, we have decided to give her back to our lord tomorrow morning. We are soaking these hours up and the kids are saying their goodbyes - you don't always get the chance for closure. We are thankful for all the good and naughty things she has done and I just wanted to drop by and give a big thanks to all those that helped us out early on and let them know Abby thanks them to. It's been a great 11 1/2 years and tomorrow is gonna be harder than I thought. Give all your labby boys and girls a big hug tomorrow am.
