Tonight my husband and I said goodbye to our 13 year old lab, Abbey. She was mine and my husband's first dog and she will be missed. She had gotten such bad arthritis in her back legs and her spinal cord was causing major back pain. Instead of trying to do steroids and shots to mask the problem, we decided it was time to let her go. She had 13 amazingly pampered years but it still doesn't make it may easier. We have Mo to keep up with and I know Abbey and her sister Cinder are across the rainbow bridge, reunited and running around with no pain. Abbey went quickly and very quietly so we knew she was ready. We'll see them both again someday. Good night my sweet Abbey. Mommy loves you sooooo much.

So sorry ! Run free Abbey
so sorry for your loss
I am so, so sorry. It is so hard to lose them so close together. Our situations are so similar as I lost both my boys earlier this year and they left behind their very sad sister. Thus, now we have Lil Man Jake. It helped but we will forever miss our boys.
Again, I am so sorry and feel your sadness.
I'm sure Casey and Digger will welcome them with open arms, they are partial to cute Labbie girls
I am so very sorry. RIP Abbey, run free pretty girl. ((((hugs))))

Sometimes the hardest part isn't letting go - but learning to start over.
I am so sorry I see in your siggy that you lost 2 furkids this year...so sad.
So sorry to hear this! It's so hard to lose two dogs in ONE year. I've been through it, too. Two weeks within of each other, they were gone just like that. I hope Mo will help you both through tough times. I know my family dog, Hank did help us a lot at the time.
