I think this week turned out to be a fantastic challenge. The creativity and skill displayed is just amazing to me.
ALL of the shots are remarkable in their in their own way... We loved the turtles on the stick, Baloo peeking over the rocks, the pine cone,
and all the rest. But we had to choose just one and for me it is Lab-jukies's tree shot.
This shot seemed to capture all of the elements of this assignment perfectly. It is extremely interesting as well as beautiful. I like all aspects of the shot but
I guess the lens flair (some people call orbs or Angels, or spirits), just put it over the top for me.
Great shot and congrats to you... Lab-junkie...
I will go with the Suggestions Thread as well. Lets look at things or people in a different way. I do not have many examples right now. I will post couple now as I can only post in the AM and after work. I may ad one or two if I find anything to shoot this week. I hope that is Okay. I just wanted to get this started as soon as possible so we all have some time to go out and get some great Angle shots.
I guess we are looking for a fresh perspective on on ordinary sights, hoping for differing viewpoint of the content.
Taken today, it was weird trying to take things from a different angle, but I think this one qualifies
I thought this silhouette made a great angle.

I call this one "Autumn Red"
I like the angle of the tree trunk and the angle of the leaves growing out of it.
I spent like an hour this afternoon searching my yard over for angles... now I'm on here and I'm wondering if I took the angle thing too literally?? Is it actual angles or perspective (shots from unusual angles) that we are supposed to be going for??
This is what I got so far. I'm still working on a second shot!

Seems like a tough challenge this week... I chose Angles because one of the members suggested it as a good topic and one they would like to see. Maybe they could chime in and explain what their vision was. I guess I interpreted Angles to be either angle of the camera, OR angles of the object, OR an angled object.
Lets not get to picky about it, any winning photo should have all the basic fundamentals of quality photography, Composition, creativity, and something that make you go, humm, I like that...
So post away.
I will look for any interpretation of the theme Angle no matter how discrete, and decide on the most interesting shot. At least it would be most interesting to my warped sense of reality...LOL
I took this of the city and harbour. I love the city lights and how they reflect on the water.
This one is the inside front of a Ponga tree. I love the round shape of the frond.
To explain what a Ponga is. It pronounced Punga. It is the native N.Z. tree fern. the dark curled part is a new frond which opens and has a stalk like the thick ones beside it. On the top are ferns as around the bottom.
I climbed a tree to get this.
I have no idea why shutterfly made this smaller.
