Is there a way to "force" flash in the auto mode w/the Canon xti?
I put the flash up, but it won't fire. ??? checked the manual and ...well, it's just too confusing. :-\

    thanks

Umhhhhh, I thought if the flash was up it would work. It does on my XT, I think. I'll check it out and get back with you.

Sometimes my flash pops up in the auto mode but doesn't go off. I thought it was because there was enough light. I have the Canon XT. I have also put it in auto to have the flash up & then used the manual mode if I thought I needed more light. But I am just learning & this may not be the correct thing to do. :
