    I was out today practicing. I really am starting to see the difference a stop up or down makes & also the SS.

    So here are a couple, same object...different settings. Comments. Actually one is too light & one is too dark.

    Too light.SS-1/400 f/9 ISO - 100 focal length - 34mm


    Too dark. SS 1/800 f/13 ISO 100 focal length 34mm


    I just liked this one. Holly berries: SS 1/80 f/5.6 ISO 100 focal length 33mm

    I love the composition on #1. Try increasing the SS one stop at a time until you get the correct exposure. I would leave the aperture at f/9. Notice how you have more modeling on the face in the 2nd picture even though it's too dark.
