    DefaultWhere Is Everyone?

I can't believe there have been so few post in this section in the last two days. Does everyone understand the lessons? I'm not going to post another one until tomorrow. I'm going to give you an extra day to digest and play with your cameras before we go on.

The only time I really get to play w/my camera is on weekends. If I take pics on weekdays, I use auto.

So this weekend, I'll have lots of reading to do...and hands on work too.

I'm here! I'm here! I've printed out both lessons, and I've been photographing everything that won't move! ;D

FYI, my telephoto conversion lens is supposed to arrive today via DHL. Where are you DHL-man!!!?

Here is a photo that I took this morning ... I was experimenting with shallow DOF.

That is very nice. Watch when you're shooting toward a light background that it doesn't over power your subject.

Monnie, I also printed out the lessons and hope to have time tomorrow afternoon to get the camera out and start experimenting with the settings. I know how to change all the settings in manual mode, but don't think I could do it on the fly! It still isn't automatic to me. Right now I decide what I want to take a picture of and then change the setting on the camera. Now if Bigfoot ran right in front of me, I'd be hot out of luck trying to change things!! But I'm hanging in there!! Thanks for all the time you put into these lessons.

I am reading the lessons! I am just in a difficult time right now. It is getting to the end of my rotation and I have been sick so lots of studying and sleeping. Keep posting!

Hoping to get out and play with the camera a bit this weekend........haven't had much time this week because I am doing holiday cover at work so leaving home at 7.30am and getting back about 8pm : But I have read the lessons and really appreciate the work you are putting into them.

    I'm here too!
(I'm the one sitting about 1/3 from the front--close enough to the board so my nearsighted eyes can see the board--but not so close as to draw any attention to myself.)
I'm reading the lessons, taking notes, playing w/my camera and digging the FIRE out of this class!

Thank you, BTW, for the seesaw analogy for the ISO-SS-AV. It really helped me understand their connection.

Glad you liked the analogy. It was all I could think of. I don't really like the triangle analog that I was taught. I was just afraid I had scared everyone off with this lesson.

I'm here!!!! I get this assignment because it is in chunks, not as much to digest all in one go, which i prefer
