    DefaultSnow photos

I can't remember if someone already asked this or not...if they have then sorry for being redundant.

But is there anything "special" that needs to be done to take photos in the snow. I mean while it's snowing so it's kinda dark outside?

What kind of camera do you have? There should be a White Balance setting on your camera for low-light and cloudy conditions. Also, be sure to bump up your EC (exposure compensation) to make the snow white instead of gray.

    yeah! i just realised that!

but but what if I wanted to do stuff in manual mode?

I am going to play around with it in the "snow exposure mode" today. I am sure you guys are probably going to cover all the white balance stuff later :P

    Thanks for your help!

After looking at your manual, I guess the snow exposure mode thing only works when your using the SCENE mode.

Try increasing your exposure compensation, ISO, use a slow shutter speed, lowest aperture ( f/2.8 ), and try using your flash.

Also, check DPreview's Kodak Talk Forum for help too... Or do the best you can and correct the picture with Photoshop or whatever photo editing program you use which is what I end up doing.
