Please use this thread to post your best assignment 3 shot...Good Luck
Living in PA in Jauary is tough for picture taking. I am going to post this in case I get busy & am not able to take anymore pictures before the due date.
This is a pic of the girls playing in the yard. White snow & black dogs....not a good combo for a beginner.
"The chase is on"
I used the Sport mode
SS - 1/640
ISO - 400
I think I should have turned the ISO down to 100 but on some that I did it was too dark. I hope the sun will shine soon. :
I also live in Western Pa. and it was 11° this morning. My lcd screen kept fogging up!
Canon 70-200 F2.8 IS lens
Shutter speed 1/2000
Focal length 200
Shot in the drizzling rain and dreary fog conditions.
EXIF -- f/3.2, Shutter 1/320. ISO 200. Lens was a 70-200 at 95mm
I don't have a camera which is any good for action shots. So I couldn't take a pic with too much speed, they came out too blurry! (I can't change my shutterspeed.)
But I tried, not too much speed in them, but at least it's a little action.
Edit to add:
Camera: Advent MP5
White Balance: Cloudy.
Flash was fired - poor lightning, a wonderful morning.

I had a tough time getting good shots this week. We have no snow, so my backgrounds are shades of brown ... and the dogs are shades of brown. :P This was my favorite of the week's shots ... but that's not saying a whole lot. :
1:30pm - full sun
Canon PowerShot S2 IS
Shot around noon, sunny conditions but freezing cold! My LCD kept fogging up and with the glare, I couldn't see what I was shooting. I can't believe I captured the ball in mid catch.
Used continous action mode.

I want to play this week. Here's one of Buddy catching his frisbee that Auntie Susan brought him from Ohio.
This was shot late in the afternoon. I didn't even try to blur the background because I wanted it as sharp as I could get it. I still had to use ISO 800 to get a fast enough SS. I didn't crop this. I started to crop it just to get rid of the ladders, but decided it was not bad composition even with the ladders.

Sorry this is such a crappy shot it is one I took for lesson 1. My battery died Saturday and would not recharge. I couldn't find another rechargeable or lithium yesterday at 4 stores so I went and got one today at a battery shop. My camera won't run on alkaline batteries. Tonight Cinnamon won't move off the couch as she was with Cierra all day and is now exhausted. Also unplanned.
a bit dark, but kept coming back to this one:
I think I like the "freezing" of the water more than the "freezing" of Zoe.
