    DefaultNikon users...question?

I am looking into getting the D50 and I think I found a good deal on one, but would like some opions first.

It comes with a Tamron 28-80mm Zoom Lens & Tamron 70-300mm Di LD Macro Zoom Lens. Would this be a good starting kit?

Thank you for the links to the reviews! Also, I haven't checked into the D40. I guess mainly because I can get the D50 for about the same price as the D40, and I thought the D50 was a step up. I could be all wrong though. LOL

The D40 is a lot smaller than the D50. I find it rather hard to hold properly.

Where are you looking at getting it? If it's from the internet, watch out. There are a couple really bad places to order from. REMEMBER, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Congratulations. I can't wait to see the pictures you take with it. Just be sure to read, reread, and read your manual again.
