    DefaultJUST JACK ~ JUST BECAUSE

I felt like sharing a few pictures of my boy's day yesterday. Note: I do NOT allow him to play with uncovered water bottles. This one got in his pond ... don't know if someone threw it in there or if it was on the ground and the wind blew it (we've had a few kids around latley) anyway:
There's an old pic-nic table down by pond that he loves to lay on

...and in the far corner of the pond there is this stick shooting out of the water that he spends LOTS of time trying to drag out. He's dragged around some pretty heavy sticks, so I don't know if this one is stuck on something or just really heavy...but it keeps him entertained.

Also, just as an added note: I have of course read the thread about pond algae. I would never allow Jack to endanger himself. This is a natural pond that has a creek running into it and also a natural outlet, so the water is always moving through it. I STILL stand and stare at it every AM...

He is gorgeous. Looks like he is having fun.

Mine play with water bottles all the time.
Tess likes to sit on the out door table too. Sometimes there is a tree growing in our river and Erns is determined to pull it out. Keeps him amused for ages.

Thank you for sharing him.Gorgeous place.

What a happy, handsome boy Jack is! He has a great playground in his backyard as well, lucky boy! Mine okay with water bottles all the time as well, they thoroughly enjoy destroying them!

Thank you for the great pics. I always give my dogs a water bottle to play with. They like the crunching sound; they'll flatten it and then leave it alone.
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!

Thanks for compliments. I think he's wonderful, but I'm his Mom so..... The water bottles, I let him have them if they're covered, I'm always afraid of him biting through the plastic and cutting his mouth....or is that being over-protective? Probably not going to happen? I've always had dogs, but I've never had one steal my heart and get in my head the way this one does

Hey, I just got Todd an awesome toy! I wish I would have inventd it. Its a ball that has rubber on the outside and a round water bottle type thing in the middle! OMG...he loves it! He squishes it for hours. The rubber is tough but squishy and you can see the water bottle in it. I got it at petvalu. I think its made by JW? Not a mark on the rubber yet from his chewing.

My 2 play with water bottles often and have several toys that have a water bottle hidden inside. They have never cut their mouth but I do take them away when they flatten them or put rips in them.
Labs are very good at becoming heart dogs! I have had a few other breeds over the years but none of them have touched me the way a Lab, (or Lab/Border Collie like my Emma!), have. They are such people dogs with great personalities.
