My name is Natasha and I am a new lab mommy. I have owned dogs before however they were smaller breeds, this is my first large dog.
My husband serves in the USAF and we are stationed in Germany. We wanted a family dog for my 20 month old daughter London. We decided a lab would be our best fit.
So after a lot of searching we found nala, whom we thought came from a reputable German breeder. We wanted to rescue, but no shelter in Germany with adopt out to Americans as over the years families moving just abandoned their dogs and gave us all a bad rep.
So when we found nala, we went to visit her and were happy to see she came from what looked to be a loving home. We had her shot record and microchip. We noticed a cough her first day home. Immediately took her to the vet. We were informed that the people we bought her from run a mill and give out sick puppies. To my distress nala needed antibiotics and treatment for heartworm. Apparently they import the pups from Hungary and Poland and sell them
On claiming they are get checked and healthy.
We rescued her, she is healthy now and love her dearly! She is so smart, loves my daughter and is eager to please.
She's very pretty. I'm glad you have her and that she'll be taken care of for the rest of her life.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't letting go - but learning to start over.
She's a beauty! I am so glad she has found you? Are there any laws in Germany that can get these people shut down and the puppies rescued?

I'm glad you found each other. She's got a loving home now. Thank you.
My off base vet is asking everyone to call a person on base that is trying to put a case together against these awful people. I know of some families here that took home dogs that developed distemper and parvovirus . Something needs to be done. It amazed me. When we walked into their home, saw their huge beautiful yard and met their kids, I never would have thought that around the back there was cage, after cage of puppies...
So sad to hear about the situation that you pulled Nala from, but so glad that she has found you and your family! She is beautiful, enjoy her
She is adorable. Welcome to the forum.

The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!
