DefaultAchieved my Agility goals for 2008

I have missed posting lately - work and holidays haven't left much free time but I had to post this good news. I finished Open Jumpers Preferred 20" with my Obedience pup, Shamrock. After a year and a half with no Agility of any kind, we finished one title and started and finished two titles from July through December 14th - all AKC. I don't show in Agility very often so I am really thrilled. The last Open Jumpers leg was at the big I-X show in Cleveland and it can be a tough place for many dogs - large - noisy. It was a tank plant during WWII so that might give some idea of the size. We had a good run for our title and a fantastic fun through 15 obstacles in a tough Excellent Standard course and then came the weaves - for some reason Shamrock decided that 8 were enough that day - oh well. We had fun - I did what I set out to do. Now in 2009 - I'd love to get at least the Excellent A titles - S is almost 9 so I don't think we have all that much time left to compete.
And my 18 month old puppy passed his CGC test. Its so hard for him to sit still - and calmly greet someone but he did it. He's also working on Agility and starting early will help us I hope.
Happy Holidays to everyone and even more Lab successes in 2009 for all of us.

Congratulations!! We were at the IX center too and earned the RE there on Friday. That is a very distracing place for dogs to work. There is something about that place that gives me a headache too. Others have said the same. I sometimes wonder how that place effects the dogs.

    Congratulations on the good news!
