    DefaultThe most fantastic Agility Run

Last weekend I showed my pup Shamrock at an Agility Trial. As I've written before we had about a 18 month gap in our training and showing while my husband earned Shamrock's UD & UDX in 2007. I started training again in April and showing in July. My goal was to at least get to run an Excellent Standard run this year and this past weekend we did that.
Although we didn't Q either day - both due to me - our runs were GREAT. Flowed - no hesitations - really nice so I was only disappointed with me. But the best was a run in an Open JWW course that was really fabulous. We were so in sync - and we flew - way under time. I run in Preferred because Shamrock is almost 9 and seems to do better at 20" but we would have made the standard time. I rarely say about myself that I did a great handling job - but together on this day we were fantastic. The "crowd" actually gave us a round of applause which at the trials I go to almost never happens save for a small group of handlers with good reputations. I was so thrilled. And I sure wish I had a tape of it. It was big dog course which made it even better because the courses are so rarely designed for big dogs. It was that feeling you get - and I hope we all get it every once in awhile - that I would change nothing I did and nothing Shamrock did - it was perfect.

I know THAT feeling, and that is why I love this sport!!! Nothing feels better than when your run goes perfectly, it's like a well choreographed dance!!

Wish you had a video too. I'd love to see it.
