Maddy and I went to the Colorado Springs Kennel Club show this weekend and we earned our first two RAE legs! Woo Hoo! Both days the RE courses seemed hard, but doable. We got an 85 and an 86, but we did better on the RA parts....96 and 98 (which got us a 3rd place...beat out for 2nd by a super fast border collie). Maddy had alot of fun (me too).
I did Grace in RE at a match the night before and she would have passed, so I had better get cracking with practice and get her back in for her RA.

Big Congrats!!! Emilu and I have 2 legs too , but it's going to take us a while to get that title because I only do one leg at a time now.
Congrats to you both.
Congratulations! My girls and I may have "Lab tested" your course for Richard -- your judge on Sunday-- he is from this area.
I loved it once when he had designed a course w/ a jump near an offset figure 8. Mata flew over the jump, snatched the bumper (we used a bumper instead of food or toys) and continued on. I never saw it coming and neither did Richard. He changed that course map on the spot! Though I personally thought it was a great trap... lol. :death:

LOL, he had an interesting trap for us as well. Especially for us RAE folks. In RE, we walked down the far end, over the jump, did a Halt-about U turn, and back over the jump. But in RA, we had to bypass the jump by doing a SLOW, and it was narrow spot to walk, down to the same Halt-about U turn, and THEN over the jump!
He said he designed the course for big dogs, and it was clear. There was alot of room and we covered the area completely.
