DefaultNot a bad weekend in the Novice ring!

Kodi is a two legged dog now!

Saturday, we qualified with a 188 and second place. The judge was really particular about heeling position and took points off for even the slightest out of position. During the figure 8, a dumbbell from the next ring bounced into ours and landed about 2 feet from Kodi. Needless to say, she lost focus! The rest went well, even with the Pom. next to her in the stays running back to the owner each time.

Today, we qualified with a 195 and second place, loosing first by only 1/2 point! The heeling went much better without the extra dumbbell in the ring!

    Wheeee!!!

Wow, good for you guys! Oh my gosh, a dumbell in the ring. I think you should have gotten a few points added to your score for that!

    Congratulations!

Congrats! Two very nice scores (especially considering the added distraction of a DB). ;D

Way to go! A dumbell getting thrown into our ring is one of the things I actually worry about most. Not that Emilu would go after the dumbell, but if the DOG from the next ring jumped over to get it - it would be all over!
