We did another show n' go for open yesterday. It was pretty frustrating- the club had workers go first (as they should), but then workers got to go as many times as they wanted, for as long as they wanted. Then club members got to go. For as long as they wanted and as often as they wanted. Then they were concurrently running an AMBOR trial, so there was a lot of flip flopping. So for a show n'go that started at 8, we ended up waiting around until 3ish to do one trip in the open ring. :
Gabs was a trooper (much more so than me). There was an AKC judge doing the open ring at that point, and she was great. She said that Gabby is doing great for her first times in the open ring and that I have to stop helping her so much (apparently I cue her to finish with my shoulders and head as well as words- ooops).
Yay for Gabs
Way to go!! YAY GABBY!!!!!
good job Gabby
That's a crazy way to run a show-n-go. Yes usually workers go first but they go once, not unlimited. :Good catch. That's why it's important to train with someone knowledgable and/or to videotape yourself so you can see those little things you do that will absolutely bite you in the ring. Most of the time you don't even realize you are doing it.Originally Posted by gabbys mom
