    Defaultsoft crate question

In Des Moines, my brother broke my soft crate. >: (I had a Pet Gear Home N' Go. I had to run out and buy another one for the show and the six hour drive home and all the pet stores had was the Noz-to-Noz (the green kind, without the roll down shades, etc).

However, I can't work the slides on it to set up or take it down. Do any of you have this problem or is mine defective/weird? If this is common, is there a better brand?

    Hi Laura!

I love those Noz2Noz crates so much that I have 3... for 1 dog. *sheepish grin*

Are yours stuck completely, or just stiff? I found that when mine were new, they were realllly stiff. I just used a little bit of WD40 to lube it up (and then make sure obviously to wipe off all the excess) and they're working just fine.

I thought someone wrote on here once about having the same problem, they wrote the company - and the manufacturer sent them out a brand new crate free and had them keep the defective one too!
I think it was a Noz2Noz, it's certainly worth a shot to contact them

I won't buy anything but a Noz-2-Noz. I think they are much more simple to set up tear down than other brands. My daughter has been setting ours up for the past 4 yrs all by herself. They can be stiff when you first get them but they loosen up quickly with use.

The #1 reason I love N2N is because you can buy replacement covers for a fraction of the price of a whole new crate. I just had to buy a new cover for Murray's because he decided he didn't like being crated in the house (because he can't be trusted loose) when I was taking Meghan and Essy to agility. : He won himself crating time in my Rottie's old wire crate. Ha! Take that, Murray.

Looks like I need to pull it out of the storage shed and try again.... :-\

Thanks for the idea about the WD-40, Felisha, I'm going to grease that sucker up.

Agreed!!! I have had to replace the covers a few times.... once because Henery decided to rip himself a new door in the mesh, and once because one of our houseguests decided to do the same! Sooo much cheaper than buying a new crate!!

I *think* this was Bob (BobPR) and this was while he was going cross-country with Puff? Not sure if it was a Noz2Noz though.. can't remember. ???

I love the Noz to Noz too..I need a new cover for the little guys (Robbie likes to scratch..I had a little bit of trouble with the little one being a bit stiff..plus the button was harder for me to depress but if I used something to depress the button it got better...Never had any problems with Riley's big one.

I bought my current replacement from Firstrax. Email them for a price on a specific size because they don't have them listed on the website.

You used to be able to get replacement covers from SitStay.com but when I contacted them, they said their most recent shipment of covers were not fitting properly so they removed them from inventory. They had no timeframe to start selling them again.
