Went to Toledo this weekend. Friday we got our ninth RAE leg with two 100's and a first and second place. One more and that will be done!
Saturday in Utility still no go-outs at all. We were working a 197 1/2. The judge told me he had a really nice run going--guess he did. That was first place that day. Open on Saturday he played some and we got a 196 1/2 again missing the ribbons.
Today in Open he was crancked and mouthed his bell which took us out of the ribbons. Utility he did ok, not as good as yesterday but did actually run all the way to the go-out point but did not stay. We'll ge there. Eventually.
Oh Susan, I just know how frustrated you probably are.
Can I ask, how are you changing how you are training the go outs? What have you tried to do differently?
Caleb, you've got to get this together ............ Mom will be going out looking for that pup soon if you keep goofing off!!! ;D
Congrats on the RAE leg and great scores!!

Well, let's see. I finally went to teaching him to climb the wall/gate as a correction but he won't take the command to go all the way out. So I have been doing a lot of go-outs before and after we get out of the ring. Having people feed when he gets out there rather than always me. I have also been rolling a tennis ball when I tell him to run, too. By now, I think I have tried it all!Originally Posted by luvmydogz2much
Two perfect scores??!! Nice job in Rally! ;D That almost, almost, makes up for the go outs. Caleb! You better straighten your act out or your mom is going to send you out and not call you back. The two steps forward, one step back is the most frustrating thing about obedience, IMO.
Good job in rally . Caleb, Caleb, Caleb you better start doing your go out's or your mom will send you to my house ;D
Ya'll had FUN -right?! ;D
Susan, glad to read that at least you got him to go out this time. He'll get back to doing them. Hang in there.
Congrats on RAE #9. Two 100's. I'm Impressed Nice job!!!
Congrats on the RAE legs!
Is Caleb ecollar trained?
He's been on one because he would not leave a male Golden alone that is in our class. Even the pinch correction meant nothing to him so we did a very low warning with the e-collar and it worked. Problem with the go-outs is he does them in class and training. It really is a ring thing.Originally Posted by Belles mom
