    Defaultshow n' go results

We went to a show n go today for Rally Excellent and Open.

Rally Excellent was really good. I got lost on course :- but she was great.

Open was interesting. On the heel free at the show last weekend, she fronted on the sits. She started to do that during the heel free and the 'judge' suggested that i turn into her as if I were pivoting left when she goes to swing in front. We did that once and she sat straight the rest of the time.

Everything else was really good except I had a crappy throw over the jump (went way wide) and she went around instead of over.

So we have some good things to work on

Sounds good! On the roh I practice those type of throws. I'll throw it way to my right and left so they learn that when they go over to get the bell they must return. I will then stand about six feet away from the jump and send them on a flat--same thing if they don't jump going out they should come straight in. It is some advanced proofing but certainly has come in handy!

Even some of the thicker matting that is so common now makes the bells bounce in really weird ways. I have thrown on the flat and had it land behind the jump and on the roh had it land in the far corner and I knew I had not thrown that bad (which I certainly can!) We have contests in the Open class on throwing the bell with prizes. Gee, I'll have to do that soon.

LOL! I've very nearly beaned my instructor on the head with my "throwing". LOL!

    Laura, that's wonderful!!!

Henry swings out wide on the sits, I'm going to try your trick! I can't wait to start seriously training for Open!!

Now THAT's a great show-n-go. It's nice when you get some feedback that actually helps you.
