    DefaultShowed today in Baltimore

Kona did well today in utility ........... 194 1/2 (second place that earned us 4 OTCH points!!) but no UDX leg ........ He NQ'ed on the DOR in Open ........... the judge used verbals for "call your dog" and he broke both times!! He wasn't the only one that messed up!! I haven't proofed that since Novice level.............guess what I'll be proofing with my own dogs and my student's dogs!!

Very nice score in Utility. ;D

I can't think of a single time a judge used verbals in Open with us. That seems kind of weird. I'd probably have the same issue you did.

    Today's results.................

We NQ'ed in utility ......... brought back the wrong article (time ran out in his head) .... but we placed 3rd in Open with a 194 1/2 ....... Kona held his stay on the drop on recall with verbal commands from the judge (felt like I won the lottery with that exercise!!). Next trials are in January and we'll proofing the DOR and trying to increase his time at the article pile!!

A fellow lab owner finished her UDX, got HIT after a runoff, lost the runoff for high combined and placed first in Open B (earning 4 OTCH points) and a friend with a Visula got a first in utility B and earned 10 OTCH points.

All in all an exciting end to 2007 competitions!!
